Walk with me by Audrey Kellow

Born near Helston in Cornwall, I was first inspired to paint with oils at Helston school in the mid 1960’s. It was also my introduction to strong colour and shape,
which still forms the essence of my work.

My original home area of Greatwork, a small mining hamlet, sits between the Tregonning and Godolphin hills, from the tops of which Mounts Bay and both coasts can be seen. The coast and countryside of this area are my inspiration. My work has a narrative background as I have also always been a writer of prose and poetry. Artwork is sometimes merely the ‘feel’ of a place or maybe part of a story.

After bringing up my family I was able to return to education in the 1990’s and
Completed an OND and HND in Illustration & Design at Falmouth College of Art.
I also have a Teaching Certificate and Cert Ed.
