About the Artist

- Watercolour Challenge, Channel 4, Grand Finalist
For the second year Paul Hoare has had his work accepted for the prestigious Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour Exhibition at the Mall Galleries, Pall Mall, London. This is a highly competitive selected exhibition featuring the leading artists in Watercolour throughout the UK, including his Royal Highness, Prince Charles.
Trained as a fine artist and graphic designer, Paul exhibited throughout London and the Home Counties for many years, with his work being purchased by private, international clients and museums before making moving to his spiritual home in Cornwall.
Inspired by the Cornish light on the land and sea, Paul works principally en-plein-air to achieve that intimate ‘connection’ with nature but also in his studio at Trevaunance Cove, St Agnes. His style is primarily watercolour based combined with mixed media techniques in a highly individual and exciting impressionistic style. He also works in Acrylics, Oils and Pastels.
