Marjana Wjasnova

My art is a spiritual quest for ‘Truth’ – the truth that exists in each and every one of us. I work towards a purer reflection of that truth. Each brushstroke is a search which brings me closer to an answer – but the questions are endless. Thus my art is a synthesis of my inner reality at a particular point in time.

About the Artist

I am a symbolic, spiritual and abstract artist.

I create mainly in oils but also watercolour and gouache to relieve the intensity. Contained within each painting is a deep meaning and a part of myself. Abstraction came naturally to me and is constantly revealing a new and exciting language which in essence is a pathway leading to truth.

Marjana Wjasnova was born in Yorkshire, England, of a Russian mother and Polish father, and trained at Jacob Kramer College of Art in Leeds. Marjana’s studio is based in Cornwall, England.
