About the Artist
Roger has lived in Cornwall for over 25 years and is drawn to the variety of painting opportunities that the Cornish landscape has to offer. From the rugged north coastline to the wilds of Bodmin moor, the peaceful river inlets of the south coast and of course the many delightful fishing villages, there is plenty to keep the keen artist occupied.
Originally Roger’s preferred style was very detailed sketches, some of which can be seen on his website. On moving to Cornwall he turned to watercolours and soon had some work printed as greetings cards by a local Cornish company.
Since then other interesting opportunities have presented themselves, which include an Italian artisan brewer from Tuscany who asked Roger to design a beer bottle label and an American medical institute that wanted to use one of his abstract designs for some of their promotional literature.
Some of Roger’s work can be found in private collections as far afield as the USA and Canada.
