Always creative from a young age, she spent her childhood learning about nature, watching and exploring local freshwater rivers, woodland, moorland and coastal environments.

As a Cornish artist & prehistoric researcher, many of Samuel’s paintings are inspired by the ancient Cornish landscape. Created through a combination of meditative reflection and improvisation, his striking geometric formations show an excitement of colour and harmonic arrangement, which represent concepts found within quantum reality and ancient spiritual belief systems. Not only do his paintings catch the eye, but act as a medium for contemplation and insight into pathways within ancient wisdom. Suzanne Phillips born to an Irish family in London in 1970 was an artist from the word go, hearing many words of encouragment as she grew from her grandmother who always found time in a busy day to sit and listen to the stories unfold behind every drawing, painting or sculpture put on her lap.

I studied graphic design for 4 years in the 1970’s and gained Associate Membership of the Society of Industrial Artists & Designers and of the Society of Typographical Designers. I went on to work in London for companies including IPC Magazines and Royle Print Ltd.
Diane Griffiths
Contemporary British Artist based in Newquay. For me my art is an intensely personal process; I work in an impressionistic style which is ideally suited to the atmospheric and ever-changing Cornish landscape. Sold internationally and added to many private collections, I use a unique combination of acrylics, oils and enamels which is a way of painting which always surprises and challenges me.

Capturing the essence and spirit of the subject is my overriding consideration and challenge when painting wildlife. Sometimes it is in illustrative details other times it will be in heavy impasto and when out sketching watercolour and ink is the preferred choice. I sketch on my tablet and even create sculptures if I feel that better represents the subject in front of me or within.

I was born in Japan but instantly felt that Cornwall is my spiritual home. The landscape, the sky, the weather and the people all combine to make Cornwall a place I want to be. Back home in Japan I work with natural stone and grind it down into powered to use as a paint material. I see the amazing granite of Cornwall as a perfect material to use in my art.
